Remember how I said I stay away from certain kinds of news?

I said it here and here.  Check your facts?  Optional.  Draw only conclusions the available data actually support?  Laughable.

Find someone who absolutely nails it on the freaking head?  Unheard of, but damned if JD Ferries-Rowe does not come along and give me hope again for humanity:

That this post was done on vacation and will likely be used as a classroom resource are just delicious icing and sprinkles on the cake.  Well played.

This, on the other hand, makes me chuckle:

Reddit won’t replace traditional media. For the time being, there is still a need for paid professionals who — with their reputations and jobs at risk if they’re caught lying — track down and interview witnesses and officials during tragedies like this one.

The first sentence is probably correct but whose reputations and jobs are at risk again?  Reddit may not replace traditional media but I fail to see the level of accountability Time suggests exists.
